This is my Teaching Credo, a set of guiding principles for my practice.

In everything, have purpose

"Why am I doing what I'm doing? Let's remove all this busy work and get down to what really matters"

Be willing to change your mind

"I'll never die for my beliefs, because I may be wrong"

Create a warm classroom community

"Get the right people on the bus, before you choose it's direction"

Students are not blank slates

"I've always considered teaching to be a potluck; everyone brings something to the table”

Lessons learned in the process are more important than the final product

"Your car may break down 7 times on your way to your presentation, but all I care is that you eventually get there, not that you may have gone astray numerous times on the way"

Healthy bodies make healthy minds

"If I struggle to sit in a plastic chair all day, how can I expect my students to act any different?"

Always strive to become a better man

"The best mentor leads by example"
